Nico

Famously part of the Warhol set, and erstwhile member of the Velvet Underground. Nico locked me in the dressing room with her just after a show in Edinburgh. A great talent and occasionally a frightening performer, I found her quite intimidating, and difficult to photograph, especially if she was aware of the camera. Sadly she died a few months after these pictures were made.
