I was honoured to know Dizzy Gillespie - originator of Bebop and one of the last great jazz legends. I made this photograph during his United Nation All Star Orchestra's tour with a band that included Flora Purim, James Moody, Slide Hampton, Airto Moreira and Arturo Sandoval.
