"Jock Duncan is one of Scotland's great traditional singers. He inherited a rich repertoire of folk songs and bothy ballads from his family and from other singers in the Buchan area of Aberdeenshire where his father farmed beside New Deer. Now at the age of 70 he has recorded his first album - with a backing band provided by Brian McNeill on Bouzouki, guitar, concertina and fiddle, Pete Shepheard on melodeons and Jock's son Gordon Duncan on pipes, chamber pipes and whistles." Jock Duncan's album "Ye Shine Whar Ye Stan!" is released on Springthyme records SPRCD 1039. Balmacolm House, Balmacolm, Cupar, Fife, Scotland.
